Id file: wrong password

Hi all.User send me his id file with password. When i try to switch id to that one notes says: “Wrong password. Password are case sensitive…”. I am sure tha user send me a correct password, he can login with it. I am working in different environment (different domino server), but also trying with no connection, no luck.

What is wrong ?

In my experience this is one of the following:

  1. Check all the obvious e.g. caps lock key

  2. Do you have any dodgy keys on your keyboard? Bring up Notepade and type in the password. Is it still correct?

  3. Check that the user hasn’t sent their WINDOWS password

  4. Check that the user understands the concept of case-sensitivity.

  5. Call them and get them to tell you exactly what keys they are pressing when they type their password. Certain letters and numbers look v. similar!
