I’m attempting to set up a scenario where I have 2 clustered servers, with 2 other ICM servers running outside the cluster. If one ICM fails, then the DNS will redirect to the other one.
I want the 2 clustered servers to use SSL for each transaction, so I’ll go ahead and purchase 2 certificates and get SSL up and running - no problems. My question is this - how many certificates do I need for the ICMs? Do I need to run SSL at all on the ICMs if all they’re doing is a redirection? Do I need 2 separate certificates - one for each ICM - or can I use the same SSL certificate for both?
Any help or advice regarding SSL and ICMs would be appreciated.
