We have an external email encryption system for internet emails. If a user puts the word “Encrypt” in the subject line, it will encrypt outgoing smtp emails. Our old Notes administrator isn’t here anymore, but on the Notes 8 mail template he figured out a way to code it so that if a user clicked the Encrypt button in email, it would add the text "*Encrypt: " to the subject. Thus allowing people to use the encrypt checkbox in email and get the desired result of having their outbound emails encrypted. As I’m updating email templates to mail9.ntf this is getting wiped out. So, 2 questions:
-
I can’t find the code he used and since he has actually passed away, I can’t hunt him down and ask him. Where could I set it so that when the encrypt checkbox is clicked in the mail deliver options that it puts the text *Encrypt: onto the subject line. And btw, it isn’t doing it at send, it puts it in right away when the checkbox is clicked, so I don’t think it is a validation or translation.

Is there a way to suppress the warning that comes up when you send to the internet and have encryption selected, that warns the sender that the emails won’t be encrypted when sent? Since we are actually achieving the desired result, I’d like to not confuse people and have them not see that message.
