In previous years and forums, I have posted various articles of one sort or another on rich text. Since I now have a blog (at Genii Software | WebLog), I decided to create a series of articles about rich text topics, in the hope of sharing some of the knowledge I have been privileged to learn from all of you and from others on other forums. I am calling the series Rich Text 101, and each article is about some rich text construct (so far, there are articles on doclinks, images/graphics, tables and paragraphs, and you can find any others as they are created on the right side of my blog under Rich Text 101). Anyway, if anyone has particular constructs they would like me to cover (ever really wanted to understand layers, for example), or particular types of material on topics (e.g., tips for best practices, gotchas, internal secrets, whatever), please let me know. I hope to give something back to this fabulous community that has given me so much, so please do let me know what I can do that would be useful to you.
By the way, while I do mention Midas in a couple of these, this series of articles is not about Midas, and is not intended to sell that or any other product. I have just started a series of articles on Midas techniques/features, but the Rich Text 101 articles are meant to be generally usable information and will not focus on what my products can and cannot do.
Note, please, that these are not Notes/Domino 6/6.5/7 specific, but refer to ND6/6.5/7 features where appropriate, so the paragraph article mentions borders on paragraphs, for example. Some articles, such as the latest on layers, are only applicable to ND6 and above.
