I have kind question how to block access to items visible on view but not associate with fields using as column

Hi All,I have kind question how to block access to items visible on view but not associate with fields using as column. Because when I go into view, which shows, only two chosen fields from document, below require items I see many rows (in this rows I don’t see any description) but when I click of some rows I can open document from database. How block it and give possibility to open only items associate with chooses columns.

Thanks

Maciej,

I’m not completely sure what you’re asking. Are you saying that if a document has no values to display in the view then users should not be able to open the document?

Maybe this is just an issue of your SELECTION formula for you view. Don’t include documents which have no values for those two fields.

hope this helps,

Raphael

Maybe I describe it in example. I have two different forms, which I use to created, documents (one and two), and two different view for show, one for show document created by “form one” and second created to show document created using “form two”. Obviously in “view one” and two I use fields associate with fields from particular document. When I open view associated with fields from document one I see records created by this document but under these records I see rows, which represented document created using second document (“second form”). When I click on its client open document created by “second form”. Could you please say how block access to document crated using second document when I look in view assonate only with fields from first document?

Thanks

It sounds like your view selection is not specific enough. Instead of using something like :

SELECT Status = “Closed”

try

SELECT Form = “FormOne” & Status = “Closed”

This should go in your View Selection formula.
