Should these get sent somewhere, or does Notes phone them home automagically? How do I tell if they’re phoned home automagically or if I have to do something explicit?
I’ve seen where folks ask for these logs in response to some issue, but I’m not really having an issue. I just closed a database in DDE and it tossed a NullPointerException dialog, which got me curious what it meant when it said “check error log for details”. I did just that and found bunches of logs going all the way back to when I first installed R8.5. That got me to wondering what they had in them, and upon seeing a rather staggering quantity of “SEVERE” errors I got to wondering if Lotus should be appraised of them. Notes carefully preserved all this information, after all, so it stands to reason Lotus might be interested in it.
