I cannot create a default Configuration Settings document

Hi admins,

I must be blind… but I do not find any possibility to create a default Configuration Settings document.

We have 4 Configuration Settings documents, each with a server name in it.

If I open & edit these documents or if I create a new one, there is no checkbox “Use these settings as the default settings for all servers”

Alternatively I tried an “*” in the “Group or Server name” field: gives me a validation error message.

Must be simple… but I’m missing the clue

Subject: I wasn’t blind: The view was blind!!

I looked with designer into the form… found another view “($ServerConfig)”, looked into that view and:

— Found the default Configuration Settings document!! —

but in the usual view “Server\Configurations” it was hidden.

I could not find any reason…

After I opened & saved the document from the view “($ServerConfig)”, it showed up in “Server\Configurations”

Crazy… isn’t it??
