Has anyone else experienced this problem before? I created some text in Microsoft Word like the following:
Test – test
Test – test
Test – test
Test-test-test-test-test
Test – test
Test-test-test-test-test
As you can see, the hyphens with a space before and after it are automatically extended by Word (please try it in Word if you do not get what I’m saying). We are using Office XP.
Now if I copy this text into an email message and send it to someone, if this person replies to the message from DWA, the extended hyphens within the message are changed to question marks. Obviously, this means Domino cannot interpret this character. Here is what the text gets changed to:
Test ? test
Test ? test
Test ? test
Test-test-test-test-test
Test ? test
Test-test-test-test-test
I can reproduce this problem everytime. I have a ticket open with IBM but they are not able to reproduce the problem. Can anyone who has time able to try and reproduce the problem I am experiencing. We are running Domino server 6.5.2 on a Windows 2000 server. Clients are 6.5.2 and all mail files are the iNotes6 template. We are using Internet Explorer 6.
