Subject: HTTP Web Server: Lotus Notes Exception - You are not authorized to access that database
Patricia –
I am experiencing a similar problem…
I have a set of db’s based on a single template (i.e. same design but for different clients). On one of these db’s, a certain type of user will successfully authenticate with the server, but will intermittently get the “you are not authorized to access…” message. Simply refreshing the browser (one or more times) then shows the page correctly!!!
In all my years of working with Notes/Domino, I have never seen Domino security exhibit this kind of random behavior. I am using some nested groups as part of the overall security model, and have checked for differences from one db to another. Bottom line is that if the groups were not set up correctly, then the user would not have access. Period.
I have created a simple one-line test agent that will behave this way, so it is not the code:
Print "hello world!"
This is Domino 6.0.2CF1 and I am using Session-based authentication.
Any suggestions out there? Is there a way to log the specific “thing” that cannot be accessed?
