HTTP Web Server: Lotus Notes Exception - Invalid directory name or device is not ready - Urgent

Well. I found that it seems the email server will look like shutdown the Domino service when the time reach 11:47 PM every night. So I did wait for the times up at 11:47 and tried to remote to this email server at home and randomly open the user mailbox at Notes Client at workspace within email server, afterward, when I chose the target server, it suddently appeared the message " Remote pathname must be relative to data directory" , it seems the server has no repsonse and down, so I can’t open the user mailbox successfully. A this moment, I did check the console and show "12/27/2005 11:47:19 PM HTTP Web Server: Lotus Notes Exception - Invalid directory name or device not ready. and I have to restart the Domino Server once then the situation will be resumed normal. The main point is , I have to wait this time (11:47 PM) and restart the email server again every night.

But I read the Log.nsf and I guess after running the task “Admin Process: Searching Administration Rquestions database” it starts the user can’t successful use webmail at all and can’t open database by Notes Client at Domino Server.

I know that “Admin Process: Searching Administration Rquestions database” is running several times a day. I’m just weird why such case happen only at 11:47 PM every night and after occuring “12/27/2005 11:47:19 PM HTTP Web Server: Lotus Notes Exception - Invalid directory name or device not ready.”

each time. some users (using Webmail 5 and iNotes6) can’t delete message and click “Next Page” each time and Can’t open database by Notes Client at Domino Server by me.

Many thanks

Hate to point out the obvious here, but judging by both error messages Domino is losing access to your Disk drives. You will need to check at the operating system level what is happening, Maybe you have a backup program running that is locking access to the disks.

Good luck
