I hv upgraded our 5.0.6 server to ND 65. Migration process was quite smooth. The only problem I am facing is with HTTP task (nhttp.exe).
Whenever the HTTP task is loaded the server processor utilization goes to 100%. I am not able to figure out what the nhttp.exe is doing so much….
I am not using Java Servlet Support/ Domino servlet manager neither there is a problem with DNS server or the host name as the HTTP task was running fine on R506 server
I am using HTTP only for web mail access … nothing else
As I mentioned my HTTP task starts properly and it responds to all commands very properly. Also I can logon to domino using browser and able to see the welcome page. I can access my mail file as well, but when I click on Inbox or Sent items then it gives me error “Not able to retrieve the data…”etc
After testing all the possibilities, I am suspecting that my server id has got the problems, which is doing all the nonsense
I am planning to register a new server and shift all the users to that server and will keep all the applications to this server, as I don’t have any applications running on http
Hi Have you any idee know? Have you solfe the problem?
I have the same problem. Using Domino 604HF22, Windows NT 5.0… HTTP on this server is using for WebAccess (INotes) and hardcode link from the webpage to 4 pdf-files. I don’t know, if I reboot the server and make some http request to the server, it works… but after 3 or 4 days, the http.exe - task takes over 60%, sometimes 80% of the CPU work.
have you any Idee? For every help I’m deeply grateful.
I wish I could help you with your problem, but instead I have a question for you. As I am experiencing virtually the EXACT same problem. When I start the nhttp task, not only does my processor useage jump considerably but I still can’t access my server via a browser. Like you I am only using http for webmail, but regardless, it should still work.Does your http taks respond to comands once you load it? Here is a link to my original post on this:
