I have done a dump of the HTTP settings (all looks fine). There have been no changes re: internet sites, web configuration, etc… It has been working for months without issues. It just started acting strange… slows and no HTTP connections possible. I thought there could be a memory leak (as noted in 7.0.3), etc… I have restarted the server, just the HTTP task, etc. In most cases, this allows the server to come back and is fast. It doesn’t seem to last… e.g. I upgraded to 7.0.3 last night at 11:30 in hopes that it was an SPR issue. I checked this AM at 6AM and all was still fine. At 7AM… it just slowed to nothing again!!! What is the best way to troubleshoot this? Again, this configuration has been working fine. 7.0.3 with 1372 SPRs… was really hoping that it would save the day! Thanks team… I cannot get any useful information (like I would would SMTPDebug/IO, etc…). I might just be missing the obvious… server availability & memory are all ~100% and plentiful. No task is consuming more than 2%.
Subject: HTTP Server Slows (Help!)
check the HTTP access logs and make sure there isn’t any type of search bots that are doing constant hits against the site. Outside of this, check with your networking guru’s to see if they can monitor the network traffic and make sure there are not network hardware problems (failing routers?). Have any new applications been deployed that are running Script intensive agents? Check the log.nsf file and see if there are any odd entries/errors.
