HTTP JVM: AgentBase Error: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: unable to create new native thread

Hii All,we have some performance issues with our application in recent times.Because of the following error domino server is crashing out and we are forced to restart the server.

"

HTTP JVM: AgentBase Error: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: unable to create new native thread

HTTP JVM: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: unable to create new native thread

HTTP JVM: at java.lang.Thread.start(Native Method)

HTTP JVM: at lotus.domino.AgentBase.startup(Unknown Source)

HTTP JVM: at lotus.domino.AgentLauncher.run(Unknown Source)

HTTP JVM: at lotus.domino.NotesThread.run(NotesThread.java:213)

HTTP JVM: Unexpected error while executing java agent:JavaAgent"

We checked all our agents for proper recycling of objects. Our application runs in a high pressured environment where server crashes will have a major impact.Temporarily we are restarting the server on daily basis.

Can any one help me out of this situation"How to avoid OUT OF MEMORY ERROR".

Awaiting your suggestions,

Chaitanya

It may not be a recycling issue . . . it may be that you just need to allocate a little more memory to the JVM at runtime. It defaults to 16mb, which I have personally found to be enough, but you may want to try adjusting it upward a bit. This can be done by way of the notes.ini settings. See here and also the Administrator’s help for more information.hth,
