Http hang ... initializing

We are running Domino 8.02 on zOS and since upgrading from Rel. 6 we are having the following problem:

Upon server start the http-task stays in the state “initializing” and never becomes available.

In most cases the Amgr seems to be the troublemaker.

So starting the server without Amgr allows the http to start fully. Loading the Amgr manually afterwards works fine.

Unfortunately we recently had the problem that even without Amgr the http never came up … this time the ScheduleManager was the one to make the http hang.

Searched everywere but couldn’t find anything that fits our problem.

So any help or information if this is a known error (and a possible solution/workaround) would be helpful.

Thanks

Subject: http hang on initalization

as you said it seemed linked to amgr, it may actually be JVM related

try the following notes.ini to start the http task with the JVM disabled

httpDisableJvm=1
