Hello
I have enabled the HTTP task on the server.
I have a copy of a database on the server which allows me to access it via Internet explorer (ie6sp1) and accepts my signon details to authenticate to the database by fully qualified host name with no problems i.e http:\server1.domain.name\database\test.nsf).
However, when I try to access the database by targeting the ip address of the server, http:\100.1.1.1\database\test.nsf) it keeps coming back to the signon screen and never lets me authenticate successfully.
I have enabled domlog.nsf and I see the following information for the connection in it.
Status: 304 NOT MODIFIED (The document has not been modified as expected)
What do I need to do to make this work?
Thanks

Look at your Single Signon settings

I have whats set in the help file.
To enable single sign-on and basic authentication in the Server document
Use this procedure to enable single sign-on for Domino Release 5.0x servers, or for Domino 6 and higher servers not configured with Web Site documents.
-
Open the Server document.
-
Click Ports - Internet Ports - Web, and enable Name-and-password authentication for the Web (HTTP/HTTPS) port.
-
Click Internet Protocols - Domino Web Engine, and select Multiple Servers (SSO) in the Session authentication field.
Note The “Idle session timeout” and “Maximum active sessions” fields will be disabled.
- In the Web SSO Configuration field, select the Web SSO Configuration for this server from the drop-down list.
*********THIS IS SET TO LtpaToken WHICH MUST BE THE DEFAULT SETTING.
- Save and close the Server document.

Hello Guys
Thanks for your responses, but your answers are very vague, a little more of an indepth answer would be helpfull, considering I am struggling already!
Subject: RE: HTTP Authentication problem
For a start, you could remove some vagueness from your question by answering, if you are using Internet site documents or not.
There are just too many different configuration options to make a guess …

Hello
The server was a default install, untill I installed Sametime7 Instant Messaging that gets shipped with the install. The Sametime has now been uninstalled, which has left sametime documents on the server which may effect the configuration.
I am targeting a nsf file not a web site if that makes any difference.
Under Server / Current Server Document
Load Internet configurations from Server\Internet Sites documents: DISABLED
Under Internet Protocols / Domino Web Engine / HTTP Sessions
Session authentication: Multiple Servers (SSO)
Web SSO Configuration: LtpaToken
Under Configuration / Web / Web Server configuration there is a record under Web SSO Configuration named Web SSO Configuration for LTpaToken.
This may help answer the question for you.
