HTML Version Notes Client Supporting?

I am importing HTML into my Notes Client to send out html formatted email to clients.

I have background colors selected in the document with

and CSS.

Seem the html imported into Notes 8.5.1 client is not recongizing the background html/css tag

So it Notes client html level 4.0 or earlier?

For XPages, I think the browser lever for 8.5.1 is equilvalent to FireFox 2.

If you’re not talking XPages, which sounds like the case, then I don’t really know that answer. I thought the rendering came from the OS browser but that might not be the default setting.
