HTML tables not displaying correctly in Notes 7.0.3 when received via internet

We recently upgraded clients from LN6.5.5 to LN7.0.3. We have reports generated in Cognos that produce tables which are emailed to users. When the clients were 6.5.5 the tables displayed within the email correctly. However, now that the clients are at 7.0.3, the tables no longer display correctly. The font has changed, the columns aren’t wide enough causing the headings to wrap and the numbers in the columns seem to have a right bracket follow them, like $457)

The servers were upgraded to 7.0.3 in September/08 and this has only started happening in the last month when the clients were upgraded.

I opened the same email in a browser and the table is rendered correctly. It’s obviously an html issue, but how do I resolve it?

Any ideas where I can look to make some setting changes?

I have discovered that if I open the email with the embedded table in it, that when I say “Actions - Preview in Web Browser” and choose Internet Explorer, the document is displayed correctly.

My guess is that the email has something to do with html but I don’t know where to go for the setting.
