Hi!I’m having some sort of strange little problem, I’d like some advices/ideas.
One of my users is having issues with a signature. But only when using a HTML signature, and when he sends the email with someone in BCC.
Whatever he puts in ‘TO’ or ‘CC’, it’s fine. As soon as he put someone in ‘BCC’, Notes crashes as he presses the Send button and close. Processes hang up so he also needs to restart the Windows session (users aren’t local admin so he can’T manually close the processes)
If he takes off the signature, then it’s fine.
I did a compact, fixup and updall on his mail file… knowing it probably wouldn’t fix anything. And yeah, indeed, it didn’t.
His whole team use the saame signature, and they do not have any problem.
He’s going to lunch right now. When he’,s back, I asked him to ask his coworkers to re-send him a copy of the signature as it could be corrupted or something. If it doesn’t fixes it, I will probably end up replacing his names.nsf or reset his notes.ini.
But before doing such, I’d like to have some other opinions and most of all, if anyone knows, where is the difference in the processing of a ‘TO’, ‘CC’ and ‘BCC’ ? I know the definition and I know the results, but there has to be a “difference in the processing” so that Notes only crashes on 1 of the 3 cases…
Thanks,
Jonathan
