HTML Desktop Homepage?

Hi,

One of my client told me to check what is possible to do to have a custom enterprise desktop homepage. (Release 7)

I read several posts on this forum saying that using a policy document with a custom bookmark.nsf page is not a good solution. There are several issues but the main is that it is not possible to update easily this page once it’s installed.

And I thought of something :

Is there a way to have an HTML page witch is called inside a bookmark.nsf frame ? This page will be on one server with URL link to applications (http:// and notes://). If it can be done, no problem to update this page.

Is it a crazy idea ? Is it possible ?

Thanks in advance for your help

Yes, you can do this by specifying a web page to be displayed in the welcome frameset and using notes://. It works for me. The only downside is that the url is displayed as a header on the frameset, which I would rather not show, but I haven’t figured out a way to hide it. Let me know if you find a way to do it.

Hi Julien,

Yes, this is possible, but then you have to make sure that in the location document of all customers the internet browser is “Notes with internet explorer”.
