I made a local replica of a DB. I copied it with the windows explorer in a Machine with Lotus Domino installed. When I try to open this DB in Server, a message of local DB appear. How can I turn this DB in a server DB?Thanks.

When you are working in Notes on the actual server itself, you can open the databases either through picking ‘Local’ or the server name in the Database Open window. It’s generally best to choose the server name, though it’s not critical as far as I know either way. There shouldn’t be any other changes you need to do apart from making sure the server (or LocalDomainServers) has full access to the database in the ACL.Steve
ps - There are ocassional reports of corruption in databases happening when you do a file system copy to move a database, it’s best to replicate it to the new location if you can.

The message may say something like “Local Access Protection is enabled for this database”. If so, then when you made the local replica, you encrypted it. The server can’t read it b/c it was encrypted with your ID.
Make a new replica and make sure that you uncheck any encryption options.
Hope that helps!
