We have migrated thousands of users to Domino with Notes & iNotes and they want to use internet email addresses internally:
The internal routing is SMTP (to produce iNetFrom,… items in messages). How would you solve thos problem?
Thanks!
P.S. Something similar was discussed here, but without solution:

Subject: Internet address
You can list the users internet address in the internet address field of the person document, and you can also list it as an alias in the User Name" field.

Subject: Global Domain document
Your challenge is that your Internet addresses are probably being converted to Notes addresses.
In your Global Domain document, you most likely have your Internet domain (acme.com) listed as the Local primary Internet domain. If you remove your Internet domain from the Global Domain document, and issue a tell router update config on your Domino servers, the router task should stop converting acme.com Internet addresses to Notes addresses.
Subject: Jay, thanks, you did understand our problem…
We have tried this, but:
-
This complicates communication of Domino system with Lotus Protecor/Sametime/Connections servers
-
It does not solve sender address format (still remains Notes native names - both for Notes and iNotes clients)…
