How to Unhide Rich text attachments

I have a database with multiple thousands of documents that contain embedded rich text files of varying varieties (Word docs, PDFs, etc). In some instances the embedded files show up from the Notes browser but not from IE or Firefox. I understand a hidewhen can actually embed with a rich text note and I suspect this may be the problem.

Does anyone know of a way to go through a view/database and remove all hidewhens from all embedded notes/attachments?

Any other suggestions? The problem appears to be erratic.
