How to transfer old emails on a fresh install

We currently have Lotus Domino V5 but we would like to transfer our old email database on a new fresh V7 installation. The new server would also have a new domain. Any ideas on how to do this?

If you are creating a new domain and new certifiers etc. then ensure all your mail files have the default acl entry set as manager, then save all the mail files.After your new V7 installation copy these mail files onto the new notes data\mail location of the new mail server. Set all the acls to be correct and make sure all the person documents point to the correct mail files.

Then use the server-based mail conversion utility to mail files’ template to version 7.0.
