How to setup Outbound Email Routing without Relay host

Dear all,

I try to config a domino server as a mail server (stand-alone) have no relay host in my Internal network. It is connect to Internet.

I sent mail from Internet to User Email Account in that server is ok, but when sendign from Internal to Outside, I saw in the Message is pending.

I follow the Instruction of Domino Amin Help, I was Enable “SMTP used outside local internet domain”. But in my internal network have no Mail Relay host.

Could anybody pls help me to config this to send email to outside.

Hello,Make sure your server can resolve DNS names OK and there is a firewall rule to allow outbound traffic on port 25 (and for DNS).

Since the relay host field is blank and you have enabled SMTP for messages outside the local Internet domain the Domino server should use DNS and send mail directly to to recipient SMTP server.

Also check that your global domain document is configured correctly.
