How to setup multiple disclaimers and outgoing email addresses

My company owns a number of other companies for which staff work for both. e.g. Bob Jones works for the main company ‘Cleaning Comp’ and also for a small subsidary called ‘Car Comp’. We would like Bob to have the option to choose which email address he sends out with and to attach a different disclaimer depending on the email domain/company chosen. Legally these extensin(if you like) companies do not need new domains and whole users setting up so this is not a viable option.

I realise you can set the Internet Mail Address field in profile document. So perhaps multi profiles is one answer but I cannot get the disclaimer field in our mail.box to work for other domains?!?

Out of interest and for the security conscious,is there a way to prevent users from changing their email address to something other than those domains which as a company we own?

Having the same requirement for different disclaimers. Will appreciate it if Lotus/IBM can give some pointers.

Thanks

Subject: How to setup multiple disclaimers and outgoing email addresses [SOLUTION]

OK,

I’ve found the solution to enable someone sending email with different email addresses like someone@domain1.com and someone@domain2.com

Just go on the client names.nsf configuration file.

Go on “Advanced”, “Locations” then copy/paste the location called “Office (Network)”.

Rename the first one like “Office [Domain1]”

Rename the second one like “Office [Domain2]”

I guess the configuration you made on “Office Domain1]” is correct, so keep it.

Open the Office [Domain2] configuration

On the “Internet mail address” field input the second email address (e.g “someone@domain2.com”). Save and quit Names.nsf

Go on the Inbox, switch your location from one domain to the other and try sending email with the two configurations, normally it should be OK
