How to setup intranet web mail

Hi,In my old company, I used type the server name in the browser to get a welcome web mail page and after entering user name and password, I was able to access my mail. This was useful when I want to access mail on another pc without having my Id. I have setup domino 7 on the new company and I want to do the same here. Could you please show me the steps?

Hi Adnan,

You have to enable the http task. You can type load http in the console and add the http tasks in the notes.ini on the server.

I would suggest that you use the webredirect database for logging in to the mailfile instead of

http://addresstoserver/mail/mailbox.nsf

The webredirect database wil redirect a user to his/her mailbox specified in the person document.

in de server document you can set the welcomepage by choice limited to a certain page eg …mail, welcome page etc…

Use the “webredirect” database to use for login in to the webmail.

there are several options to achive this.

  1. set " load internet configurations from server/internet site documents" to enabled.

  2. internet protocols tab → home url: webredirect database
