I was working with outlook previously and Lotus is so different. Please help me how to setup the email to work.It is different locations mentioned, but the number of things to write down are so many parameters.

With your install of the Notes client is a database called “Help” which is found in the HELP folder, under Data. After you open it, you will see that along the left is some nice documentation to get you started (in fact, one of the headings is “Getting Started”).
Since it appears that you have not had the benefit of new user training, this is a free option for you. Another free option is a set of “Cheat Sheets” that are publicly available here:
