How to setup a user on their laptop with Shared Login

I have a user who’s already have the office desktop Notes Shared Login working. The user now has a new laptop. Once login to the Windows server system through VPN, how can I get Notes Shared Login working on that laptop as well. I copied the ID over and that does not seem to work. Can someone point me to the right procedure to do this type of installation?
