how can you simpel set up a domino server only for internal use and the client extra added an external internet account, like an ISP account?
I want to use at the client, 1 location document for both internal/external, so i don’t have to switch between location office and location internet for example.
is this possible?

you should be able to do this for retrieving mail, but to my understanding this will not work for sending mail.
If you have only 1 location, Notes will not be able to distinguish which server (Notes or ISP) it should send the mail to. It will always use the ONE server which is specified as the mail server in the location document.
However, for retrieving mail create additional POP account documents for your ISP (POP3) mail.
While replicating, Notes will now automatically check your ISP mail too and retrieve ISP mail into your mailfile.

Stephan,thats correct. when you use 1 location, and set at the mail tab, send outgoing mail-> directly to internet, you can email outside to internet addresses, but you can’t email internaly.
it’s irritating switching constinously to an other location.
what you said, just setting up an pop location for retrieving email, works ok. thats correct.
but how sending email? you need still that pop location with a pop account, and still switchin to it? right?
the server is only set up for internal.
