Hi there,
this is a double posting from http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd85forum.nsf/ShowMyTopicsAllFlatweb/299a6f740f2cd94b852577de007c12f8?OpenDocument
Maybe I have better luck under product area “Notes Client”
I am just wondering if it is possible to change a users password afterwards.
Problem: at the moment I teach a friend of mine how to better use Lotus. I was a bit scared when I saw that the company which installed the Notes Domino Server and all the Notes users never used password for the user.
With other words: one person can use the id file of a colleague (all IDs are stored on a central place) and is able - without typing a password in - to read all mails from his or her colleagues.
So I try to change it. Of course you can use the client to change the password locally. But this will not change the password on the server.
As Admin I did not find a possibility to set a password for an existing user so that a new id-file will be created (as I know the password additionally will be stored in the id file so you can log in locally).
Did I overlook something?
Thanks for links, hints, advices.
