How to serve plain text files in HTTP server?

Hello, is there a way to serve a plain text file with the Domino HTTPd Server? I put the file under $NOTES_DATA_DIR with permissions for the notes user and get

Http Status Code: 404

Reason: File not found or unable to read file

The httpd.cnf file has a Mime type for .txt

Don’t know what else to look for.

The only way to serve that file would be to convert it to a .nsf?

The root directory for non NSF resources is different than for them. place the file in NotesData/Domino/HTML or whatever directory is referenced in your server document.
