How to send notification when Notes client is down

Hi

I am a newbie here. This forum looks much higher level technically than I thought. But I’d like to ask a simple question about Lotus Notes Calendar event notification.

I am just an end user of Lotus Notes Client, not a developer.

I am looking for a way to get notified for a calendar event by an email when my Notes client is down.

I usually set up calendar reminders, appointments with the “Send me notification with subject” field ticked. I like to set this field to my hotmail email address so that I can be notified via Hotmail when my Lotus Notes Client is not running.

Can it be done from the client side, for example by an agent which a client can write?

Or am I asking this question to a wrong forum?

you have to create an agent which sends the reminder mail to your hotmail address.

Do you have a sample agent code to share or can you direct me to some good document?

How do I set up the agent property? Trigger on schedule or on event? Do I have to write a script?

Hi,

it is not so easy. First you have to find out which agent in your mailtemplate sends the reminder mails. Then you have customize the agent, so that he sends the reminder mails not to your notes mail adress, but to your hotmail address.
