I work for a medium sized shipping company operating 80 ships around the world. Since we depend upon very expensive satelite communications, the replication between ship and shore must be very efficient.
My question is: What is the best way to replicate large attachments in Lotus Notes databases? We sometimes see documents with single attachments exceeding 50 megabytes, and my guess is that these will have to be fully retransmitted if the connection breaks during replication. And satelite communication is indeed very slow and very expensive.
