How to repair the Mailfile?

HiMy mailfile is somewhat messed up. There are several symptoms that show the problems. Some of them I allready reported but I found new ones wich make me believe, that I have to create an all new Inbox, but how do I do this, without loosing documents (or the original creation dates).

Most of the mail comes in trough a pop account and all is sent through a ISP’s SMTP (directly to the internet):

  1. Inbox does not refresh

  2. False alarms for new Mail

  3. Archiv does not work anymore

  4. On the replication page, ther is no information about replication and when I click on the settings comes an error message that there is a local encription and I have no access to that application

  5. When I look at the replication settings from the application itself, sometimes the settings for the folders are blank

  6. Replication with the homeserver does not work all the time

I tried allready to replace the design with a discussion template, then fixup and compact. It did not get better.

How can I repair the mailfile?

When I run into such a headache I’ve just created a new mail file and copied the old stuff into it.

Subject: Tried it, did not work. Still the same problem with the inbox
