Does anyone know if there is a hex string that allows one to recognise a Notes database within a hex dump of a disk?

Do you mean the length of database name or file name? If so,@Length(@Subset(@DbName;-1)) gives you the fullpath including the database name ending with “.nsf”.

No, I meant the length of the nsf file on disk.
