Hi folks:
I need to POST some data from the currently selected Notes document to a DotNet Aspx web page. I am trying to do this via a manual Lotus Script agent (running in the Notes client). The code below is very similar to what I am using:
Dim objHTTP As Variant
Dim PostResponse As Variant
Dim sContent as variant
sContent = “fname=John&lname=Doe&City=My Town”
Set objHTTP = createObject(“microsoft.xmlhttp.1.0”)
Call objHTTP.Open(“POST”, “http://fsServer/Fsdir/DocProfile.aspx” , False)
Call objHTTP.send(sContent)
When I run this code, I get a response text back indicating that “Object reference not set”.
Is there a better way to send data to the DotNet Asp application? I tried using ws.OpenUrl(sURL)where sURL contains the following URL:
http://fserver/fsdir/DocProfile.aspx?fname=John&lname=Doe&City=My Town
This tactic works fine, but I will be passing data that is potentially large and may exceed the 2048-character limit on URL size imposed by Internet Explorer. This is why I need to send the data via POST method.
Any help much appreciated. Thanks!
