Hi,I am new to the notes client, and switching from Outlook, I find it impossible as an end user to move folders from one DB to my mail db for example ?
Any simple solution ? It seems that drag & drop works only into the same DB.
Thanks,
Patrick

Unless this has changed in 6, you cannot copy and paste a folder from one DB to another. What I do is create the new folder in the target DB, then select all docs in the source DB folder and paste into the folder in the target DB.

Thanks for your answer but I was aware of this. The problem is when you want to move a bunch of folders, with some arborescence, from one db to one another. We plan to migrate guys from Exchange & Outlook, and if an end user is unable to do something as casual in 2003, as drag & dropping some stuff around, no way to get the users on the Notes train !Hope that Lotus will be able one day to release a “user friendly” release of Notes, otherwise it will stick to be a “techie” product stuffed with a lot of useless buttons for end-users.

Best not to start the whole Outlook v Notes arguement. However if your not planning to make use of other facilities in Notes such as databases and the like, then why not just continue to use the Outlook Client with a Notes back end, or use iNotes?? They won’t be able to recall e-mail either like in Exchange / Outlook, so best brace them for that one. There is always resitence to change if two products did identical things there would be no need for two products!
