How to LS set view pointer to specific document in view?

I feel silly asking, but I can’t seem to get the right keywords to pull up the desired results when searching the help db. I know I’ve seen it in there…

I remember there’s a method to set the pointer, relating to the viewclass? Am I looking in the right area?

Hi,

Call notesUIView.SelectDocument( notesdocument )

is that what you were looking for? In Backend, you have to use getNthDocument or getDocumentByKey.

Hope this helps,

Martin

Oh my… that’s actually easier than what I was remembering. My brain is shot today.

Thank you much!

Oh my… that’s actually easier than what I was remembering, & is better for what I’m doing. My brain is toast today.

Thank you so much!

although if you’re trying to go to that document in the UI you may not always scroll to the doc in the view, even though it gets selected. see below if that’s the case:
