How to invoke domino agent from java

Hi all, I need to invoke a domino agent from outside the notes database. That is i have a seperate java program which is not contained in notes database. This program must call an agent in a notes database. Can anyone tell me how to do this either in java or java script.

In like manner, you can use window.location = “http://…” in JavaScript to invoke the agent using HTTP. Some things to consider if you invoke via URL are:

  • security : who can run agents on server?

  • http task running on server

  • error handling
