How to import ft directory?

Experts My previous employer had Lotus Notes and I exported(from thinkpad) all my emails on my last day with that employer. This was 4 years back and I forgot how I exported. Now I have two types of exports.

  1. single .nsf file

  2. directory with extension .ft i.e username.ft

To view my emails, I installed Notes client 8.5 on my mac and tried to import .nsf file. It gives me error that I am not authorized to open this file. I dont have any id file associated with this .nsf file.

I don’t know how to import/view username.ft directory or files in it.

Please suggest.

Subject: Database

Agree with JP, however on the basis that the db is simply protected by the acl and not encrypted, if you hade a domino server available, you could simply file copy it to the server and with admin rights, use Full Access Administration to access it…

The .ft Folder and files are the Full Text Index for the database.

Security (probably encryption) has been set in the database, so without the original id, then you’re out of luck.
