Subject: How to import file and create automaically document in DB
Hi,
i’am not shure, if this workaround will help you, but i import my files as follows
-
creating an excel sheet with no leading emty rows or empty rows within the data
-
on the first row you have to write the headlines :
these must have the same names as your fields on the notes form which you would like to edit the data later
-
save the excel-file in lotus-1-2-3-format (*.wk4)
-
open notes client, open a view corresponding the the form
-
file → import → filetype “lotus-1-2-3” → select your excel sheet
-
import as “main docs”; use form [your form as 2.]; defined by: "WKS-title → OK
your data will now be imported and will be shown as notes-documents in your view.
i am using a german notes-version, so i am not shure, wether my above mentioned declarations are translated correct to english.
Let me know, if this was helpful for u

You can try the built-in import function in Notes client and then run an agent to fix missing fields.
I have some time ago created a LotusScript agent to import Excel rows to Notes.
Check it out here: Fast import from Excel to Notes using LotusScript
I will later today add another example which imports people records from Excel
into Domino Address Book, I used it for populating a test Address Book with
randomly generated names stored in Excel file.
