This is a situation. When client need restore of the database, the team who is responsible for this, creates a restore from tape in “restore” folder, but they change the file name from xxx.nsf to xxx.nsf.dad (to avoid replication to original database).
I need to be able to go and get filenames of all files in restore folder on all production servers (there are about 10 different servers).
When I use the NotesDbDirectory, it picks only databases or templates.
Is there a way to get other types of files?
Here is a code I use:
Set dbdir = New NotesDbDirectory(ServerName)
Set Sdb = dbdir.GetFirstDatabase(DATABASE)
While Not(Sdb Is Nothing)
'... process the database
Set Sdb = dbdir.GetNextDatabase

In your Administrator client in the Files view, look at the top-right corner, you should see a drop-down menu that is defaulted to “Databases only”. Just click on that, select “Custom” from the drop-down, and in the extensions field enter ‘dad’ or ‘.dad’. See if that does anything for ya.

Olga,
If all you are concerned about is ‘avoiding replication’ between the restored DB and current DB - before the restore team restore the .nsf set the existing DB to “Temporaily Disable Replication”
They can then restore the Db as xxx2.nsf
Then do what you need to do.
To your inital question I don’t know if Notes looks for anything other than .nsf (&.ntf) file types.
