How to exclude domain from checking in DNS?

Hi,

I have Domino server 7.0.2 which routes SMTP mails to Internet and receives from Internet. To prevent spam I’ve enabled verifying senders domain in DNS.

The problem is that I have a server in LAN which sends SMTP mails (addressed to users on Domino servers) , and its hostname isn’t in DNS (let say: Domino is a MX for acme.com and mentioned local server sends mails from abc.acme.com.

Of course, Domino refuses mails because it coudn’t find it in DNS.

How to deal with it? One solution is to set up local DNS server but maybe simplier solution exists?

I’ve tried to write IP and domain to local hosts file but w/o success.

OS is RedHat Linux.

Thanks in advance for all ideas.

not sure if this is going to help but have yor tried to add internal server name or IP that sends SMTP mail to domino as trusted to white list in domino server config?
