Hi All , I have to fields one is Radio button and other one is Text field .
What i had done actually , for each field i have created two fields one is Editable and other is Computed .
what happen the radio button field is approve button when click on radio button it refresh and the other field which represents date will change .
whatever be the value the computed field will display , when it goes to next row it work fine , but when it goes to third row again the first row becomes in editable mode
for eg; Radio buton filed hide when formula is
Editable : fielda1!=“”
computed: field1=“”
and accordingly for date field
Editable : date1!=“”
computed: date1=“”
and for editable field , in program’s pane the formula is
@if(field1=“”;“”;@now)
for the next row the formula is ;
field2!=“” | field11=“” (where field11 represents the computed field )
& field2=“” for computed field for the next row .
and for the date field it is same as above.
and it is checked , “Refresh Fields on keyword change” .
is there any problem that one field i have taken as a Radio Button and other as Text Field .
Plz if anyone can solve this one .
Subject: how to disaplay the computed field
I am not able to understand your question.But i think you should use “Computed for display” rather than “Computed” fields for only to display values.Computed fields store values in documents.
Subject: how to disaplay the computed field
You must check your hidewhens’ and computed field formulas, if you have a bunch of them in a table in separate rows.

I, too, do not understand your question. How about this: tell me what you are trying to accomplish, and maybe we can figure out a good way to handle it.
Do you want the second field to be the date of the approval? If so, you don’t want @Now in there, as it will keep changing over time, instead of being when the approval occured.
My suggestion would be to have a button instead. A button that only appears during edit mode. It is labelled “Approve”. The code behind the button would be something like:
========================
FIELD Field2:=@Now;
@Command([ViewRefreshFields])
========================
Field 2 would be a Computed field with its own name as the formula.
Would that not accomplish what you are trying to do? And again, maybe you want the button to be in the Action Bar if there is only one approval for the document. It would be hidden if the approval was already done, or if you were in Read mode. That way your form only has one field on it for this piece, and it not quite as cluttered.
So, my suggestion is (if I understand what you are trying to do) is only one field, called “ApproveDate” or something, and a button either in the action bar or on the form next to the approval field. Not two fields, not four fields…one field and a button.
Let me know what you think. I will try to monitor this to see if you reply.
