I want to disable the password when domino server starts. Whats the procedure for this.

This is from memory and I haven’t done it in 6.5 so bear with me. If I recall correctly you need to open the server ID file from a Notes client (hopefully it is NOT installed on the server, that’s a huge security hole). Then go into File > Security > User Security and change the password. As long as there are no restrictions in place you should be able to specify a blank password.

Tired of having to type a password at the console when the server restarts? :slight_smile:

You can clear the password by recertifying the ID and setting the password quality to 0 (that’s a ‘zero’).

I have tried that. I did certify the server ID and set the passord to zero 0. I did this via the Admin client. Then replaced the old ID with the one I just certified and the server still is asking for a password. Any ideas?
