How to disable smartcard login

I have set up smartcard login for Notes clients. Now I want to disable it on some of the workstations and get back to the standard password login process. The File->Security->User security dialog tells me to ask the administrator to change it. I am the administrator. And I don’t know how to do that. Even in the Admin Client I found nothing for this topic either.

Help would be appreciated.

I have found this in Lotus Notes 7 Help:

“Once you enable Smartcard login for your User ID, you cannot disable it.”

I keep on trying.

You can use ID file recovery to switch a smartcard-enabled ID file back to a conventional password.
