How to Detach attachment from web

Hi everyone,

can any one tell me how to detach attachment from the web.I am working in a system where user will require to detach the acctachment from the web and save it in his disk.

I don’t know how to detach it.

Pls help.

Right click on the attachment and select “Save Target as”.Isn’t that simple.

I know it can be done by this way don’t u think that there must be some way because when we are using Web Mail and if it has nay attachment in the mail then it gives us the option to save the attachment to the desired location on the disk.

  • I’m thinking there’s a bit of language barrier going on, Amy. If you know you can right-click a link and “Save link as…”, but that doesn’t seem to be what you’re looking for, then what are you looking for?- This functionality on a button, I’m thinking, but I’m not sure. If you could more precisely describe what you’re looking for you may get a more precise answer. (grin)

Hi David, in my system at present user clicks on the link and that links gets open,but now what they want is that when they click on the link then instead of opening that link the attached file should get downloaded to the local P.C or file save option dialog box should come.

  • Sorry I didn’t respond quicker.- This should be a browser setting, to have it open or save to disk. Domino cannot affect what the browser does with the link it provides.

You mean attachment in a richtext field in a web-viewed Notes document?Can’t they just right-click the attachment and choose “Save target as”? You can not programmatically put attachment to user’s disk.
