How to change the region for design element?

Hi,

All design elements in my multilingual database have language Czech(Czech Republic) or Polish(Poland). I suppose that in brackets is region, right (e.g. Czech Republic)? All these components were created by another developer few years ago.

Now I want to add a new element (e.g. script library), but I cannot choose region for that element. Does anybody know why? I need that, because design elements with language Czech/Polish (without regions) are not updated during database refresh (I add elements in the template).

How can I select region for new design elements (in CZ and PL languages)? Or how is that possible, that someone created elements with language and region as well? Has the previous developer done some trick?

I am thinking about one more thing. When I replace the database’s design with my template I am asked to choose languages. The list of available languages contains: Czech(Czech Republic) and Polish(Poland). Maybe that’s why elements in language Czech (without region) are not updated? How can I then change the list of available languages in the template?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Not all languages have regions. Czech and Polish are samples of this type of language.

It can take a long time to process to change the language of your database. Could it be that you were to fast to look at the result?

I have often changed a mailfile to another language and sometimes it looked like not all design elements were updated. Sometimes I had to wait a bit longer, other times I had to do it again by changing to another language and then back to the wanted language.

I worked with a mailtemplate with 9 languages and I hated that, because it takes a very long time to get forms and subforms opended in the designer. Now I would prefer to use separate templates, one for each language. They are much easier to handle.
