I want to change the Notes mail file name in server side, but I don’t have the server’s access ( Windows server, Unix /Linux server etc). I only have the Lotus Notes Administrator access.
Of couse, I can copy the Notes DB to new name and delete old one, but it will take the long time and will lost some Notes mail information.
Does anyone have some idea to do this rename kind job in Lotus Notes Administrator environment? Thanks.

No way to do it with out creating a new replica with a new name, then deleting the old. If you can write a LotusScript agent, you can write one to do a shell command (see Shell in designer help) … But – i’m not sure what you are trying to do, but the safest way is to create a new replica with the new name, then, just before you delete it, replicate it again … (yes you can tell a domino server to replicate with itself and it will work)
