How to Change Local Replication Settings

Sorry for the duplicate post - I have the task of verifying and changing if needed users local replication settings. The local replication setting of concern is labeled “Which Server is used for Replication”, the Preferred Server needs to be set to Any Available, Try Last Successful First".

What is the best method to accomplish this?

I have looked into policies but this is unfamiliar territory.

Thank you for all your help.

I’ve used the Client Configuration app in the sandbox to do this - http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/sandbox.nsf/ecc552f1ab6e46e4852568a90055c4cd/3aa7da395066a28b85256982004fb86a?OpenDocument&Highlight=0,client

I also use an Audit Tool written by Rob Axelrod that I got from a View Admin conference to determine what the settings were to begin with. It has a really good foundation so you can use it to do all sorts of things on the client end. Email me and I can send you a copy of it.

Hey Alan,Thank yo ufor the quick response. I quickly downloaded this but found it to be a non-english version. I did find the english version in the Sand Box…awesome. THis looks handy.

From a quick glance I didn’t see where I could change the setting of concern though. Am I missing something?

Thank you

ron

Now that I’ve read your initial posting more carefully . . . . . I see that you’re talking about the replication settings of specific databases. I was thinking about locaiton docs in the PAB :-(You can use the NotesReplicationEntry.Destination property to determine the current setting (it’s contained in NotesReplication). According to Help, it is a read only property, so you can’t change the setting using LS.
